How to remove stains on travertine?

Q:  We purchased our travertine from Travertine Mart a few months ago. A couple of days ago I noticed some round baseball size stains in a certain area of our pool deck. I tried removing them with Clorox but they don't come out. What can I do to try to remove the stains?

A:  Stubborn stains can usually be removed with a poultice.
