Question: What are the pros and cons of sealing travertine pavers?

Answer: 

Pros: You protect the pavers from staining, it brings out the colors and makes it look vibrant. 

Cons: You block some of the ability of travertine to absorb excess water - although not all. Could be slightly more slippery. You have to continue to apply a sealer every year or every other year depending on the sealer you choose.
