Question: I am having concrete poured to do a mud-set travertine paver installation over my pool deck. I want the deck to be flush with the top of the pool apron. When pouring the concrete how far should I drop below the top of the pool apron to account for the thickness of the paver (1.25") and the Flex-Bond and grout?

Answer: You should account for 1.25" inch for the Travertine Pavers plus about 1/4" to 1/2" for the Flex-Bond or grout. However, before pouring the concrete we suggest that you try a small area first to test with a few paver samples to see how they level.
